Rennie Yater designed 8’09Y Designer Comments: This was designed with the popular 9’3” Y as the reference, and intended for 8’6” longboards. As compared to the 9’3” Y it has proportionally less volume, it’s 6” shorter, 1/4” narrower, 1/8” thinner and a little wider in the tail area.
