Silmar® brand SIL66 is by far the most used resin in surfboard manufacturing for over 30 years, sold all over the world and with a sales volume that surpasses all other competing resins combined.

This resin is transparent, resistant to UV rays and a low viscosity which favors a quick impregnation of the fabric. Easy to use, with precise gel and cure times, fast and stable resin.

BLH optimizes the possibility of making white or colored plates with pigmentation, making it versatile for both options. Unlike other Silmar composites, 249 BLH has a dark optical brightener, but not too much as the BB series, called "double blue". This is a low styrene emission resin.

Silmar 249 BLH, resina ideale per laminazioni pigmentate e trasparenti.

Condizioni da Evitare: l'esposizione a calore eccessivo o a fiamme libere, conservazione in contenitori aperti, stoccaggio prolungato (6 mesi), stoccaggio superiore a 38C°, e la contaminazione con agenti ossidanti.

Il quantitativo di catalizzatore MEKP da aggiungere a resina poliestere Silmar viene calcolato in base alla temperatura della stanza nella quale viene utilizzata. In generale a temperatura ideale di 24C°, si utilizza 1% in fase di laminazione, 2% in fase di Hot/Gloss coat.

Si aggiunge o si toglie quantitativo di MEPK, se la temperatura è più bassa o più alta, tenendo conto che i limiti estremi (non raccomandabili) di temperatura sono 15C° e 32C° rispettivamente 3% e 0,5% di MEPK in laminazione.

Per creare la resina da hotcoat o gloss coat aggiungere alla resina per laminazione STIRENTE PARAFFINATO al 2%.
